The pour point test method that our MPC series pour/cloud point testers utilize has been finally approved by ASTM. The ASTM number is D6749.

The “mini” pour point test method that we have been proposing at ASTM D2 was finalized on Jan. 10, 2002 by ASTM headquarters and was assigned with a new D number: D6749. We thank you for your support and patience.
Since the release of MPC series 5 years ago, some customers have been benefiting from its advantages: higher precision (r=1C, R=2C), shorter testing time (1/3-1/2 of the tilting method’s), compact design and smaller sample size (4.5ml). The high precision has made a pour point determination with 1degree C intervals a reality. (For detail, refer to the Technology department.) Now, we have added another advantage to the MPC series: official recognition by one of the most significant standards making organization.
