High-precision sorting performance

Within just a few milliseconds, the system detects the elemental composition of scrap and carries out accurate sorting. Thresholds can be set for each element added to the aluminium base material—such as magnesium, silicon, iron, manganese, and nickel, and others. Thanks to its high accuracy, it is possible to target and separate only high-demand alloy series such as the 3000/5000/6000 series, enabling direct remelting and reuse without composition adjustment.

Unique, simple structure

A proprietary free-fall design based on patented technology delivers an extremely simple structure. Mechanical components prone to failure—such as belt conveyors, gears, and bearings—are not used; the only moving parts are the vibration motor in the feeder section and the solenoid valves for the air jets. The system also avoids high-tech components that tend to become black boxes—such as cameras, range sensors, and AI—making it easy to understand the machine’s condition and operate it without specialized knowledge.

Small footprint

Even with both the feeder and sorter sections, the width is about 1.5 m and the overall length is about 5 m. Its compact size makes integration into existing sorting lines straightforward.

High throughput

With standard scrap cut to 40–140 mm, the system offers a processing capacity of up to 4.8 t/h.

Excellent operational continuity

The 6 LIBS modules provided as standard operate independently, so even if one should fail, operation can continue with the remaining modules.

Handles coated or film-covered scrap

Because it employs a very powerful laser, thin paint films, coatings, and labels can be penetrated to reach the base metal. No special pre-treatment is required.

Demonstrations with your own samples
