ASTM Approved Tanaka’s Cloud Point Test Method as D7683

Tanaka’s automatic cloud point test method was adopted by ASTM International as “D7683 Standard Test Method for Cloud Point of Petroleum Products (Small Test Jar Method)”. ( http://www.astm.org/Standards/D7683.htm ) Together with the previously approved D6749 on automatic pour point test method (Air Pressure Method), test results from Tanaka MPC series are now fully standardized. The benefits include the small sample size, short test cycle and higher precision.
