WDXRF SULFUR ANALYZER FOR ULS FUELS June, 2007

TANAKA launched a new total sulfur analyzer for ultra low sulfur(ULS) fuels. Model FX-700 conforms to ISO20884 to cover 0-500mg/kg with an LOD of 1.5mg/kg and LOQ of 5mg/kg.

*Easy operation: Ease of operation has been the main theme for developing this ULS fuel analyzer. While the proven WDXRF(wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence) technology guaranteed a high level of precision, ease of operation has been sacrificed on predecessor WDXRF models available in the market, due to their multiple elemental analysis capabilities. FX-700 is dedicated to ULS fuels analysis, and thus much of the operations have been simplified. 10 membrane switches and an LCD screen provide all user interfaces with easy dialog-type operation, and results are preserved by a built-in printer.

*Compact design: The small footprint of merely 60cm(W) by 55cm(D) allows for installation on a small laboratory bench. Since the X-ray source is a small air-cooled X-ray tube, the analyzer is rated at only 40W, and thus no major regulations for X-ray safety applies in many regions. (For regulations on X-ray, consult local safety authorities.) Also, the small X-ray tube is highly reliable and low cost.

NEW KINEMATIC VISCOSITY MEASURING SYSTEM June, 2007

The new model AKV-202 has been designed for automatic determination of Kinematic Viscosity of transparent as well as opaque petroleum samples.

*Automatic operation: Once sample is poured into the viscometer, the series of processes including temperature control, timing, draining, cleaning/drying and reporting are done automatically.
*Wide sample types: The viscometers used on model AKV-202 are of reverse flow type thus allow for not only transparent but opaque samples.
*Small foot print: The compact design allows for bench-top installation.

As the third generation model in the product series, some further improvements have been made including one-touch set/release of viscometer from its holder.
